Graduation Information (FA23)

Log into MyCSUDH and review your Academic Requirements Report. This report will list all requirements that have been completed and will indicate any remaining requirements needed to complete your degree. Meeting all degree requirements is the student’s responsibility. You may need to contact your Major Department and the University Advisement Center if you have any additional questions or concerns. Also, review and verify that your current academic plan (major/minor) is correct on your student record.

Application Filing Periods

The Online Application for Graduation must be filed in accordance with the following schedule. Failure to apply in accordance with the schedule below could delay your degree past your intended graduation date. Also, there will be additional fees assessed for applying after the regular deadline.

Please note: if the above dates fall on a weekend or holiday, the deadline will be the previous working day.

Graduation Applications Filed By the Deadline (no late fee)

Degree Checks (graduation evaluations) for students who submit the Online Application for Graduation by the published deadline are reviewed in order of date received/filed. The timely filing of your Online Application for Graduation will ensure your Degree Check is processed prior to the last day to add classes for the term of anticipated graduation.

Graduation Applications Filed After the Deadline (late fee)

Requests to file an Online Application for Graduation after the regular deadline require an additional $15.00 fee and must be paid with the application and $85.00 graduation processing/diploma fee.  Students who do not pay the fee within 48 hours of online submission will have a hold placed on their student account.

Bachelor’s Degree Candidates

Each prospective graduate must file for graduation. A student is eligible to apply for graduation if fewer than 10 courses are needed to complete the degree and after completion of 90 semester units. The Online Application for Graduation can be found in your MyCSUDH.edu account.  For further instructions, please visit the Office of Admissions & Records website.

Master’s Degree Candidates

Each prospective graduate must file for graduation. Please direct all questions regarding graduation procedures to the Graduation Unit of the Registrar’s Office.
